How to Verify Your Facebook Business Manager
This section is intended for brands that have not yet completed their Business Manager verification.
It is necessary to verify the Business Manager before you add the WhatsApp API number to the Facebook Business Manager account (FBBM).
If you attempt to add the number without verification:
⚠️ Meta may ban your number, restrict your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA), and block your Business Manager (BM).
⚠️ Appeal time: 3–4 weeks.
How to Verify
- Go to:
- https://business.facebook.com/settings
- Left sidebar → Security Center (If you cannot open Security Center, you may not have full control of the business portfolio. Ask a person with full control to do this step.)
- Find Business Verification
- Click Start Verification
- Enter:
- Legal business name
- Address
- Website
- Business phone
- Your details must exactly match your legal business, and your website must load over HTTPS. Confirm your business details. Upload documents only if Meta finds no matching record (choose My business isn't listed or None of these match). Accepted examples: business registration or license, articles of incorporation, government tax certificate, business bank statement. Then choose how to confirm your connection to the business: email, phone, text message, WhatsApp message or domain verification (adds a meta tag or DNS record to your website). Confirm and click Done
- Submit → a decision can take up to 14 business days. Meta sends you a notification when the review is done
