WhatsApp API Display Name – Approval & Setup Guide
To ensure your WhatsApp Business profile reflects your brand accurately, it's important to set the right Display Name.
This name will be visible to your customers when they interact with you on WhatsApp, so it's essential for building trust and recognition. Below is a simple guide to help you change and submit your WhatsApp Business Display Name for approval
How to Apply
Step 1
Open WhatsApp Manager:
https://business.facebook.com/wa/manage/
Step 2
Left sidebar → Account Tools → Phone Numbers
Step 3
Select your WhatsApp API number.
Step 4
Go to Profile.
Step 5
Find Display Name → Click Edit → Submit for Review Meta reviews and approves display names. DelightChat cannot approve or speed up the review. While Meta reviews the name, WhatsApp may not deliver your messages to customers, and your channel shows "Display name in review". If Meta rejects the name, the channel shows "Display name rejected". Open the channel, then submit a new name that follows Meta's guidelines or appeal the decision in WhatsApp Manager.
Display Name Requirements
- Must match your brand / legal name
- Must match your website
- Cannot include:
- Emojis
- Promotional words
- Generic words like “Support”
- Must be clear & professional
