Disable Two-Step Verification (2FA) - How to Disable Two-Step Verification (2FA) for Your WhatsApp API Number

‍This section is for brands that are planning to migrate their WhatsApp number from another service provider to DelightChat.

2FA must be disabled during the migration process, as the existing service provider is required to approve the porting. This approval cannot be completed while 2FA is enabled.

How to Disable 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

Step 1

Go to:

https://business.facebook.com/settings

Step 2

Left sidebar → Accounts → WhatsApp Accounts

Step 3

Click Open in WhatsApp Manager where the number is connected

Step 4

Left menu → Account tools → Phone numbers

Step 5

Select your phone number.

Step 6

Click the Two-step verification tab → click Turn off two-step verification → Meta sends a link to the email address tied to your business portfolio → open the link to confirm and 2FA is turned off. You cannot turn off 2FA through the API.
