Template editor checks formatting before you submit

The WhatsApp message template editor now checks your template for common formatting mistakes and shows each problem next to the field. The submit button stays blocked until you fix them, so you do not wait for a rejection and start again.

Meta and Gupshup reject WhatsApp templates for formatting problems, and until now the editor did not tell you about them. You found out after you submitted, then had to duplicate the template and try again. The editor now catches these mistakes while you write.

What the editor checks

How it works

A field shows its errors after you leave it or click Submit, and the errors update as you type. A field with a problem gets a red border, and one warning line per problem appears under the character counter. If you submit with errors, nothing is sent and the editor jumps to the first field that needs a fix. On a carousel, it opens the card that has the problem and marks every card page with a problem with a red dot. If you duplicate a template, the copied text is checked as soon as the page opens.

How to use it

No setting is needed. Open Message Templates in Marketing, choose your WhatsApp number and create a template. The checks run as you write.
