The template editor now allows up to 1000 characters in the body (was 550), minus 50 for each variable used. The character counter shows exactly how much room your variables take.
There is more room to explain an offer, an order update or the next step in a WhatsApp template. The editor also accounts for space reserved for variables, so adding personalized fields changes the available space shown by the counter. This lets you refine the message in one place before submitting it for approval.
Open Message Templates, create a template and write the message body. Add the variables you need and use the counter in the editor to check the remaining space as you write. Submit the completed template for approval before using it in a broadcast or automation. See the template creation guide for naming, categories, variables and submission.
