Turn on "Share inventory count" and "Share location-wise availability" in AI Agent settings, and the chatbot can tell a shopper the exact stock count or whether an item is available at a specific store. Previously it could only say in stock or not.
You can choose how much inventory information AI Agent shares when a shopper asks about availability. Stock counts answer “how many are left?”, while location-wise availability helps a customer check a particular store or branch.
These are separate sharing choices. If counts are off, the chatbot should not quote a unit count. If location sharing is off, it should not give branch-level stock information. Numbers and locations come from the Shopify data available to the chatbot, rather than estimates.
Open AI Agent settings for the channel. Under the product-question capability, turn on Share inventory count, Share location-wise availability, or both, then save. If a Shopify reconnection notice appears, complete that step so the required inventory data is available.
