The chatbot's stock answers now honor Shopify's continue-selling setting for each product variant, including location availability answers. It distinguishes availability to order from a confirmed physical stock count.
An item that Shopify allows customers to order after its tracked quantity reaches zero should not automatically receive an “unavailable” answer. AI Agent now distinguishes availability to order from a confirmed physical stock count.
For a variant with Shopify’s continue-selling policy, the chatbot can say it is available to order when the product data supports that. It should not invent a positive unit count at a branch whose physical stock is unknown or depleted. Your Shopify selling policy still determines whether the item can be purchased.
Maintain the variant’s selling policy in Shopify. If you use branch-level stock answers, keep Share location-wise availability enabled for the channel in AI Agent settings. This change adds no separate continue-selling setting in DelightChat.
